Daewoo . How to Remove Rear Drums on a Ford FocusRear brake drums on your Ford Focus are part of what is called the "hub assembly." With a few easy steps, similar to those in changing a tire, you can remove your wheel hubs with no problem and be ready for whatever steps you need to take next. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Tire iron (the size of your wheel nuts) Wheel nut lock key Rubber mallet 1/2-inch drive ratchet Hydraulic jack 2 jack stands 2 wheel chocks Step by Step : 1 Fit your tire iron to each lug nut in turn and turn each counter clockwise to remove. 2 Use your wheel-nut lock key attached to a 1/2-inch drive ratchet and turn counter clockwise until the nut is removed. 3 Use your service manual to locate the rear center jacking point and push the hydraulic jack under the car to that point. 4 Apply your emergency brake and place the wheel chocks in front of each front wheel. 5 Turn the knob on the hydraulic jack to the "on" position and slowly raise your vehicle high enough so that the tires can be removed. 6 Place jack stands on each side of the rear suspension bracket and slowly turn the hydraulic jack knob setting the car on the jack stands. 7 Remove wheel assemblies on both side of the vehicle. 8 Use your rubber mallet to tap on the brake drums until they come loose from the brake assembly and remove. Tips & Warnings Make sure both the jack stands and the hydraulic jack are in good working order before attempting this procedure. Do not use the oil pan as a center jacking point. Use safety glasses during this procedure to prevent rust or brake dust from getting in your eyes. It is possible for the car to slip of the jack stands if improperly seated. Do not try to catch the car but stand clear and deal with the results afterwards
Daewoo . Scorpion Helmet Lining RemovalScorpion's line of motorcycle helmets include features designed to increase the wearer's comfort levels, including a retractable SpeedView sun visor. But the performance helmet company has not forgotten that a helmet's worst enemy is moisture. Appearing mostly in the form of sweat, moisture is the leading cause of helmet "funk," the unappealing odor that accompanies a great deal of saddle time. Fortunately, Scorpion has designed their helmets with removable liners to provide a breath of fresh air. Liner Removal Removing the liner from a Scorpion helmet is actually quite simple, but requires removal of a few ancillary parts. Begin by removing the helmet's chin skirt, detaching the snaps that secure it to the neck liner. Then gently pull the skirt upwards until the plastic supports slide out from the foam EPS liner. Next, remove the cheek pads. The cheek pads are secured by three posts held in place by snaps on the inner shell of the helmet. Gently pull each cheek pad towards the rear of the helmet until they are detached completely. Then, remove the neck liner by pulling upward on the two forward tabs and the tab at the rear of the helmet. Finally, the crown liner is secured by two velcro tabs. Reach into the helmet and grasp the left and right edge of the liner and gently pull it off of the velcro tabs. Cleaning the Liner Once the liner components are completely removed, it's time for a good cleaning. Scorpion assures that none of the helmet's components can be damaged by water, so washing the liner is the easy remedy for a smelly helmet. Place the crown liner, neck liner, and cheek pads into a pillow case and place it into a washing machine set on "gentle." Use a mild detergent and allow it to cycle completely. Dry the liners and cheek pads naturally and away from sunlight, as forced heat and direct sunlight can damage the liner material and promote the development of foul odors. Once the pads and liners have completely dried, re-install them into the helmet by reversing the removal process. Outer Shell Care While the liners and cheek pads are being cleaned, spend a few minutes cleaning the exterior of your helmet. Use a plastic-specific cleaner/polish and a clean micro-fiber towel to prevent damaging the finish of your helmet. Apply the cleaner liberally to the exterior and outer surface of the face shield, then wipe away. Use an anti-fog cleaning spray on the interior of the face shield. Be careful not to use any type of solvent or petroleum-based cleaners on your helmet, as these will eat away at the helmet's finish and can be detrimental to the performance of the helmet.
